Life can be stressful sometimes, and you will
often find that you are tired out by the end of the day so much that you have
no energy left to enjoy your social life. Here are some of the ways that you can
calm down after a long week and reset your body and mind for the weekend.
Switch off
The most important thing you need to do on a
Friday evening when you leave work is LEAVE WORK. Don’t bring any thoughts of
work home with you on a Friday night, this is your personal time now and you
need to enjoy it with all of your effort. Leave work in the office and come home to
enjoy your time with family and with your loved ones.
Music
When you get home,you can get cooking dinner
for the night and put on some relaxing music to get you ready for the weekend.
Music is great for the soul and it will help you to forget about the stress of
the week and instead just enjoy being at home with the people you love most in
the world.
Crack open the wine

When you come home on a Friday night you will
want to relax completely, and the best way to do this is to enjoy a soothing
glass of wine with your dinner.
Wine is a treat and this is a great way to celebrate another week over and look
forward to your plans for the weekend.
Settle in
Get your shoes slippers on, wrap yourself up in a dressing gown and chill out downstairs with your family for the night. You can turn off the main lights, light some candles and put on your favourite film to watch with the family. Watching a good movie is comforting and it will make you feel ready to enjoy your free time for the next two days.
Meditate
Meditation isn’t only for yoga lovers, it is a
relaxation technique which is great for everyone. If you feel stressed out and
you feel as if you are burning out after the week, you can sit down for 10
minutes, close your eyes and focus on nothing but the sound of your breath and
the blood pumping in your veins. It is like pressing a reset button on your
brain and you will feel refreshed and ready to relax once you are done with it.

In the summer, this one s probably not the
best idea, but when it starts to get cold in the winter you will be able to
relax by running a hot bath, bringing your favourite book into the room with
you, and lighting some candles in the room for a spa like atmosphere. Take this
opportunity to have a hair and face mask and give yourself a mini pamper
session. By the time you are done you will feel clean, warm refreshed and happy
to start off the rest of your weekend with a bang.
