Hi there!

Hey lovelies, welcome to SDB! I'm Natasha. I am a walking, talking mombie fueled by coffee. I am obsessed with shoes, all things glittery and/or sparkly, and I have an owl obsession. We talk about everything from motherhood, lifestyle, and all things inbetween. I am a mom of three kids and we reside in the Pacific Northwest. Thanks for tagging along! Now lets sit back and sip on a cup of coffee in the AM or wine in the PM and lets relax.

Home Decor with Uncommon Goods: Our Master Bedroom

This post has been brought to you by Uncommon Goods and contains affiliate links. I was not financially compensated for this post; however, I received products for free. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

When it comes to decorating our home the last room I tend to think about is our master bedroom. Over the years we have purchased a few items here and there but never really focused on completing the overall look of the room. Our first big splurge of course was our vintage inspired bed frame. Then came the side tables and matching lamps.

Our bedroom is still not 100% finished and is honestly still a work in progress. I want to purchase some new curtains that let more light into the space and that aren't so dark like these brown ones as well as hooks to hold back the curtains. I also am on the hunt for two white shams and a new set of sheets, as well as a rug to go underneath our bed to add more texture and color.

For now I am pretty pleased with how our master bedroom is turning out. Somehow it took an eclectic boho vibe all on its own but I'm not complaining at all. I sort of like it.

I also have plans for the entrance of our home once the painters finish with new paint job. I am really liking the garden décor and accessories as well as the cute mats for your front door. I like the personalized Mixtape Doormat and the "Neighbors Have Better Stuff" doormat.

I especially am loving the new pieces that my friends from Uncommon Goods sent to me. The wooden eyeglass holder is genius! I don't know how many times a day my husband loses his glasses. Now he has a safe space to put them at night. The wood is crafted beautifully and it truly is a unique piece. My husband thought it was the coolest and most handy thing in the world.

My favorite piece is the white vase that holds both your cell phone and gorgeous flowers. I had eyed it since my Mother’s Day Gift Idea post which you can read here. I passed on it and regretted it. I am so happy I didn't pass on it again. It's so pretty and comes in two colors (mint and white).

I also am loving the literary inspired candles. They would make a great decor piece or even a nice gift or house warming present. I decided on Pemberley and am so glad I did. Y'all, this candle smells amazing and I couldn't possibly say no to my all-time favorite book and movie Pride and Prejudice. As soon as I opened the jar, the wonderful aroma of lilacs, roses, lilies, hyacinth, and ivy hit my nose. It was as if I were walking outside the gardens of Pemberley in search of Mr. Darcy. Every night before I go to bed I lit the candle and the fragrance fills my room. It's the most delightful scent and comes in three other candle scents: 221B Baker Street, A Mad Tea Party, and Thornfield Garden. I highly recommend that you buy one. You'll thank me later.

The last item I decided on was this gorgeous Knot Doorstop. It was one of those items on the website that I just kept going back to look at. It would look great in any home from farmhouse to nautical or even bohemian. It's simple but beautifully made. For now it lives next to my custom bench from a local shop here in Washington called "Moo & Em" but sometimes I use it to prop our front door open when it cools down during those warm summer evenings here in Washington.

Warby Parker

This post has been brought to you by Warby Parker and contains affiliate links. All thoughts and opinions are my own base off my experience with the products.

The past week I got to try out some gorgeous glasses from Warby Parker. If you have never heard of Warby Parker you should go and check out their website. It was so hard to pick five frames for my "Home Try-On" box. I looked through every single frame that they had on the website and it took me a couple of days to decide!

Today they are launching their newest line of 1950's inspired frames! They have refashioned some of those 50's inspired silhouettes to fit into today's modern era and the shapes contain a combination of bold browlines and a mix of different materials; really making these frames a statement of their own. You can shop them here.

I can't tell you how smart I felt wearing the Warby Parker glasses. Not only were they beautiful to look at, but they were flattering and made me feel stylish and extra fabulous when I wore them to the office. I felt like I was channeling Lucille Ball or Audrey Hepburn.

The "Home Try-On" program is awesome! You just take an easy quiz that will recommend some great looking glasses for you and select your five favorite pairs. You get to try the glasses on that they sent to your door for five days to see which ones you like. You can buy the pair you want at any time online and Warby Parker will send you a fresh new pair in the mail. When your five days are up you just mail the box back.

What I am loving about Warby Parker is that they have the "Buy A Pair, Give A Pair" program and are making a huge impact. In case you didn't know, over 1 billion people around the world lack access to glasses, which means that 15% of the world’s population can't learn or work effectively in their environments due to the inability to see properly. Warby Parker is addressing this issue by partnering with nonprofit organizations like VisionSpring to make sure that with every pair of Warby Parker glasses sold that one pair of glasses gets donated to someone in need. You can look and feel good knowing that your eyewear purchase is helping someone.

So the next time you're on a hunt for a new pair of glasses or just want to look cool this summer with 1950's inspired sunglasses why not check out WarbyParker? The glasses are very affordable, super stylish, and you'll feel extra cool and intelligent no matter where you go.

Thanks for stopping bye! And have a wonderful day!

Ecocentric Mom Series: June Mom Box

This post has been brought to you by Ecocentric Mom and contains affiliate links. By clicking on links and purchasing a subscription box from Ecocentric Mom I will receive a small compensation. All thoughts and opinions are my own based off my experience with the products.

My June Mom Box arrived last week and I am happy to finally be able to share it with you! I opened it and it was happiness in a box; specially designed with just mom in mind. The last thing I ever think about is myself. So receiving my monthly Mom Box is a nice little reward for all the hard work that goes into being a mom.

Ecocentric Mom has all sorts of boxes whether you're a mommy-to-be, a new mom, or a mom with kids of any age. The box you choose will be packed with all sorts of goodies for every stage of motherhood. The monthly box will contain 5-9 full-sized and sample sized items of products from consciousness brands for home, health, beauty, and baby. The subscription boxes start at $22 a month and contain a minimum retail value of $40 or more per box. Pick from the Pregnancy Box, Mom & Baby Box, or the Mom Box and enjoy the awesome products inside.

Here's a look into what came in my June Mom Box!

Lyeska Moisturizing Facial Lotion - I love this face lotion. Not only does it smell good but it leaves my face feeling extra soft and doesn't leave a greasy feeling behind either.
Meliora Cleaning Product (Stain Removal Soap Stick) - This stain removal stick is awesome! I used it over the weekend on my one of my son's white shirts. All I did was wet the fabric and rub the stick along the stain and walla! The stain was gone. It's really going to come in handy this summer removing grass, dirt, Popsicle juice, and of course chocolate from s'mores on the 4th of July.
Glow - I have yet to use this, but I did swatch it. It feels a little oily which makes me a little nervous since I have oily skin. It does have a nice subtle glow to it though.
Compact Mirror - I never have a mirror on hand when I need to touch up my lipstick or eyeliner throughout the day. Now I can just tuck this into my makeup bag and use it when I need it.
Made Good Granola - This granola was delicious! It was my first time trying it and I plan on buying a couple of bags to have to home. My two year old daughter ate most of the bag and I didn't feel guilty letting her munch away on a healthy and organic snack.

One of the monthly subscription boxes would make a great gift for a friends or family or just because for you.  You can subscribe here. Get $10 off your first Mom Box using code SHARE10OFF2017. Offer expires July 31, 2017!
