Hello, 2023.

As I sit and reflect on the past year, I am glad it is coming to a close. I decided to spend the last day of 2022 at home, alone. I needed to focus on grounding myself and embracing what the new year had in store. A lot happened this past year. The good, the bad, and the ugly. I learned lots about myself and found my little tribe in a few close friends. They are the real ones! They know who they are. :)

I spent a lot of time thinking about the goals I wanted to accomplish for the new year and my word for the year. For 2023 my goals are 1) Date my children and strengthen our bonds. 2) Save, save, save! I'm trying to get my finances right and live comfortably within my means. And one of my goals from last year I made no progress on was 3) Write the damn book! I really need to finish writing the book. I have had no muse. Probably need to scrab the old content and start over. 4) Move your body, bitch! I still have some weight goals to get to. I got a little lazy the last couple of months and am restarting my fitness and health journey again. 5) Declutter all the shit that no longer serves you! My anxiety levels have been off the charts lately and I cannot function in the chaos. I find myself hating my home. I need to get it in order by any means necessary.

My word for 2023 is FOCUS. Focus means to adapt to the prevailing level of light and be able to see clearly. To center one's interest or activity. I want this year to be all about accomplishing any task I set for myself personally and professionally. If I start something, I aim to finish it. I will focus on my health, finances, relationships, and home. I will focus on whatever the universe throws my way and will succeed no matter how big or small it may be.
