Gymboree Sale On Now!

Can you believe that it's almost Back to School time? Is it just me or does it feel like summer is being shortened the older our kids get?

Or am I just imagining it?

I swear, when I was their age that summer break seamed to last forever. I remember August hitting and wishing that school would start cause I was bored being at home all the time. I would meet my friends at our elementary school every day at the same time. This was in the early 90's, so there was no texting each other. We communicated via landline with the twenty foot cords! I know y'all remember the twenty foot cords.

Weeks would pass until our principal posted the classroom assignments on the door before school started. We would park our bikes against the brick wall and eagerly read through the lists with every students name until we found our own. The anticipation was ridiculous as we peered through the windows in search of our names but somehow we always ended up in the same classroom. We would even threeway each other the night before school to plan out our outfits and hair styles. Yup, we were those little girls. We took the first day of school seriously.

Now that I am mom I both dread and look forward to Back to School shopping for my son's. I'm always happy to go shopping but my checkbook feels a little empty and I am just way too tired afterwards. Thankfully Gymboree makes it easy to shop both in store and online. It's a one stop shop and I got to shop from the comfort of my home while the kids watched a movie on the sofa or play cars on the floor. They have everything from casual wear, school uniforms, athletic wear, and accessories for kids sizes newborn to 14. I have been dressing my kids in their clothes since they were babies and I just love the colorful clothes and quality playwear that lasts.

Amari is in the phase now where he likes to pick out his own clothes when we go shopping. I let him pick out his outfit for this post. He had a grand ol' time looking through the Back To School Collection. He decided on the Terry Joggers  and the Moon Monster Tee from the Cosmic Club Collection. He hates wearing jeans due to the feel of the material against his skin. The Terry Joggers are loose fitting and have a drawstring so he doesn't have to fiddle with buttons. He also liked how they are sporty-looking and stylish at the same time. The Moon Monster Tee he found funny. He likes aliens and thought that it was a pretty cool shirt and was pretty excited when he realized it glowed in the dark too.

I know I am pleased with the quality of the fabrics and over design. The joggers are made very well and will last him well into the winter; that is if he doesn't have a growth spurt. That kid is a little weed and just keeps sprouting!

While Amari and I were browsing through the site the other day I asked Amari what some of his academic goals were for the 2nd grade. Last school year was pretty tough for him due to his ADHD. Come fall, he will be testing out medication for the first time. These are Amari's goals that he came up with for the school year:
- Be able to focus in class.
- Get stronger at reading.
- Finish homework and turn it in on time.
I know that he is capable of finding academic success and I am slowly starting to implement some new study habits and organizational ideas for him.

Right now Gymboree is having a Up to 70% off the Entire Store Sale plus an extra 20% off on Clearance Items! The sale ends tonight at 11:59 pm so hurry while it lasts! Go get your children some goodies.
