Its summer and who doesn't love a sweet treat to eat? My kids love popsicles but they are loaded with too much fructose corn syrup and dyes. I have seen all sorts of delicious popsicle recipes all over Pinterest and wanted to make my own recipe for the kids to try. I had a bunch of bananas that were a little too ripe to eat and it was way to warm out to bake so I decided to try my take on banana Popsicles. I added my favorite Bliss Nut Butter and chocolate to add to the deliciousness of the bananas.
Ingredients -
4 ripe bananas
1 1/2 cup Silk Coconut milk
3 teaspoons Bliss Peanut Butter
1 teaspoon Chai Seeds
1/2 cup Chocolate Chips
Directions -
1. Put ripe bananas in food processor. Add milk and peanut butter. Blend until combined. Add chai seeds to mixture and blend on low.
2. Melt chocolate chips in microwave safe bowl. Scoop chocolate into tips of the popsicle molds.
3. Scoop banana mixture into molds and add the handles. Freeze for 24 hours. *I had leftover mixture so I just froze it and made it into ice cream.*
My kids really liked these and I didn't feel guilty about letting them indulge on a healthy summer treat! Enjoy.
