Scrunchie Holder: The Easiest DIY EVER!

Hello, hello! Can you believe how quickly February is flying by? I swear I blinked and we're almost halfway through the month. I guess that is what happens when you are living in a pandemic and have been stuck at home for months.

I got another super simple DIY for y'all. It's super easy and really looks so stinking cute sitting on my daughter's dresser. Can you believe it costs only $2 a pop? I'm very pleased with how it turned out.

Between the two of us, both my daughter and I have a lot of scrunchies. She has some of the stinking cutest ones too. I can't help but snag a pack for her whenever I'm at Wal-Mart, Target, or even the Dollar Tree. I decided to make her a scrunchie holder and I am so glad I did.

Here's what you need:

  • Some sort of base (I used a Dollar Tree soap holder but a wooden base or even a ring tray would look darling too)
  • A wooden dowel (I used the handle of a sponge brush I snagged from the Dollar Tree)
  • Paint or stain
  • Hot Glue and Glue Gun or E600 (I use both to make sure the dowel stayed glued onto the dish)
All you need to do is sand down your wood dowel. I used an old piece of sandpaper that I had on hand. Once the pole was smooth to the touch, I cleaned it up and painted it with two coats of pink acrylic paint. I let it dry for an hour and then glue it to the base and held it in place and you're done.

Super simple right? And it looks so stinking adorable with all the pretty scrunchies on it. I think I need to make myself one.
