Home Decor with Uncommon Goods: Our Master Bedroom

This post has been brought to you by Uncommon Goods and contains affiliate links. I was not financially compensated for this post; however, I received products for free. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

When it comes to decorating our home the last room I tend to think about is our master bedroom. Over the years we have purchased a few items here and there but never really focused on completing the overall look of the room. Our first big splurge of course was our vintage inspired bed frame. Then came the side tables and matching lamps.

Our bedroom is still not 100% finished and is honestly still a work in progress. I want to purchase some new curtains that let more light into the space and that aren't so dark like these brown ones as well as hooks to hold back the curtains. I also am on the hunt for two white shams and a new set of sheets, as well as a rug to go underneath our bed to add more texture and color.

For now I am pretty pleased with how our master bedroom is turning out. Somehow it took an eclectic boho vibe all on its own but I'm not complaining at all. I sort of like it.

I also have plans for the entrance of our home once the painters finish with new paint job. I am really liking the garden décor and accessories as well as the cute mats for your front door. I like the personalized Mixtape Doormat and the "Neighbors Have Better Stuff" doormat.

I especially am loving the new pieces that my friends from Uncommon Goods sent to me. The wooden eyeglass holder is genius! I don't know how many times a day my husband loses his glasses. Now he has a safe space to put them at night. The wood is crafted beautifully and it truly is a unique piece. My husband thought it was the coolest and most handy thing in the world.

My favorite piece is the white vase that holds both your cell phone and gorgeous flowers. I had eyed it since my Mother’s Day Gift Idea post which you can read here. I passed on it and regretted it. I am so happy I didn't pass on it again. It's so pretty and comes in two colors (mint and white).

I also am loving the literary inspired candles. They would make a great decor piece or even a nice gift or house warming present. I decided on Pemberley and am so glad I did. Y'all, this candle smells amazing and I couldn't possibly say no to my all-time favorite book and movie Pride and Prejudice. As soon as I opened the jar, the wonderful aroma of lilacs, roses, lilies, hyacinth, and ivy hit my nose. It was as if I were walking outside the gardens of Pemberley in search of Mr. Darcy. Every night before I go to bed I lit the candle and the fragrance fills my room. It's the most delightful scent and comes in three other candle scents: 221B Baker Street, A Mad Tea Party, and Thornfield Garden. I highly recommend that you buy one. You'll thank me later.

The last item I decided on was this gorgeous Knot Doorstop. It was one of those items on the website that I just kept going back to look at. It would look great in any home from farmhouse to nautical or even bohemian. It's simple but beautifully made. For now it lives next to my custom bench from a local shop here in Washington called "Moo & Em" but sometimes I use it to prop our front door open when it cools down during those warm summer evenings here in Washington.
