Story Box Review: April

We have been subscribed to The Story Box for a few months now and so far our family has been very pleased thus far. I started researching various children’s subscription book boxes back in November (as a Christmas gift idea) to see what one would be best for our family and for our budget.

My middle child, Talan, has a severe speech delay and struggles with some cognitive development skills. We have seen vast improvement this year with his speech now that he has started kindergarten and has gotten speech lessons at school. I decided on the Story Box because it was created by a speech pathologist. Every month there's a new challenge to accomplish with the materials and so far my children have responded well to those challenges.

Mommies Are Amazing
By Meredith Costain

This book is such a sweet book. Mommy cats and their kittens take a leading role as mother's of all kinds are celebrated in this tale. The focal point is on the beautiful bond between mother and child. The cadence is gentle and rhythmic and is easy for babies or toddlers to follow along.

My daughter is obsessed with cats; she very happy to see a book in the box with her favorite animal. This book would be a great addition to any at home library.

When You're Feeling Sick
By Cole Bowles (Guitarist from Grammy Award Winning Zac Brown Band)

This book was very fitting this month since all three of our kids had horrific colds and allergies. It's a picture book that had my kids laughing-out-loud with its hilarious pictures and encouraging; although super-silly rhythming advice about the do's and don'ts of what to do when you're sick. It focuses on how to deal with a sick day in a positive way. It also comes with a sheet of stickers to brighten a sick kid's day.

My Product Review of Maple Holistics Silk18 + Giveaway

This post is sponsored.

I am back with another review of Maple Holistics. This time around I got to try out their Silk18 Shampoo. The Silk18 contains eighteen different amino acids which help fortify hair follicles and strengthen strands for healthier hair and scalp. It helps protect your hair from damage, breakage, split ends, and hair fall-out which I am often victim off. The Silk18 shampoo has a therapeuticness every time you wash your hair. I cannot even tell you how amazing this shampoo smells. The scent smells deliciousness like sweet vanilla and almonds. Our entire family is loving this shampoo for our daily hair care needs. Our scalps look and feel healthy thanks to the argan and jojoba oils helping to cleanse and prevent dandruff, excess sebum, and impurities in the hair and scalp.

All Maple Holistics hair care products are suitable for men, women, and children. They are cruelty-free, free of sulfates, GMO’s, parabens and gluten. All their products are made with the purest and highest quality ingredients to enhance your daily living experience, hygiene care, and overall health. It’s also made in the USA.

Maple Holistics not only offers hair care products but also an assortment of products from bath and body care, to personal care, to skin care, and even healthy food options. No matter what your individual needs are, they have something for everyone.
