Kidpik: Summer Review

This post contains links.

We love Kidpik! You can read our first review here. I sort of forgot to post our winter pik on the blog. Oops!  I opted out of the spring pik since she wasn’t in need of any new clothes. I am going to try and be more consistent with posting Aurora’s piks each season. I know I have loved the quality of the pieces that they have sent. The garments hold up really well and we get a lot of compliments on her shoes when she wears them.

Kidpik is a clothing subscription box just for girls. Each pik is styled and personalized for your daughter and sent straight to your door. Shipping is free. In each pik, your daughter will receive up to 5-7 pieces of clothing, a pair of shoes, accessories, and a special surprise for your girl to keep. The average cost of a box is $98.00 + tax.

Geo Smock Dress

This dress is so cute in person! We absorb love the flowy bell sleeves and the off the shoulder cut. The print is very geometric and vibrant. Rora loves the colorful print. This dress is perfect for summer and will be a great addition to her wardrobe.

Be You Tee

A cute and simple white tee. I love that it has a great message, “Be you,” and that it’s graphics are super colorful. She has a magenta hoodie that pairs nicely with this top from her autumn pik here.

Star Braided Tank Top
Color: Duberry

This top is Rora’s favorite! She calls it her pretty star shirt. She loves the pastel colors and the darling braided straps. It’s light and airy, perfect for warm summer days ahead.

Animal Braided Bikini

We weren’t expecting a swimsuit but she loves it. This was the first item she saw and she was giddy over the pretty colors and lovely print. It’s a little too big (the bottoms) but it will fit her next summer.

Reverse Sequin Denim Shirts aka as “Moji shirts” by Rora

The emoji shorts are so cute! I wish they came in adult sizes. We love the light wash and the emoji is super bright and fun.

Studded Crossed Ankle Sandal
Color: Black
Color: Corn Flower Wash

These sandals are so darling! They are actually more navy than black but they pair nicely with all her pieces in this pik. They are super comfortable too.

Double Ruffle Tank Top
Color: Island Paradise

This top is a simple staple piece. She loves the pretty color. It compliments her skin tone and has an adorable ruffle along the collar. It pairs nicely with her emoji shorts and other denim jeans from previous piks.

Free Gift: LOVE bracelet

I didn’t get a photo of her free gift this go around. You can kind of see it on the picture above. She received a bracelet that reads, “Love,” on it. It’s a little too big for her wrists so she wears it as an anklet.

Merchandise Total: $148.50
Kidpik Total: 103.95 with 30% discount

I personally recommend giving KidPik a try. We have loved our experience. Thanks for visiting the blog today. Have a great day.

Why You Should Try Whiff: My May Review

Have you heard about Whiff? Well, if you haven't I am happy to introduce you to this revolutionary company that specializes in the art of scent sequencing. What is scent sequencing exactly? Well, let me enlighten you.

Every month, Whiff will send you a package with a combination of designer and professionally created perfumes in the mail. Each package contains five different samples with three of each fragrance allowing you to test out the scents with your body chemistry. If you like a scent you, you give it a thumbs up. If you don't, you give it a thumbs down. The following month, Whiff's expert perfume staff will adjust your next sequence and send you perfumes that are different but similar scent-wise to the ones that you liked the previous month. Over time, you will get closer and closer to finding a scent that is unique to you. Start scent sequencing with Whiff for only $10 a month. Oh, and did I mention that you get a complimentary, full-sized bottle of perfume every 6 months? Talk about worth it.

Now that I have been subscribed to Whiff for over a year, I no longer get samples every month. Instead, I am sent a small bottle of perfume that lasts the entire month. I still get to rate the perfume scent with a thumbs up or down. Most of the scents that I have been sent are designer perfumes such as Ariana Grande's "Moonlight" or Gwen Stefani's "Harajuku Lovers" fragrances.

For May, I received "Flash" by Jimmy Choo. This perfume is sweet and enchanting with top notes of spicy pink pepper, juicy strawberry, and tangy tangerine. It has middle notes of tuberose, jasmine, and lilies. Base notes of blond wood and heliotrope give the entire perfume a sophisticated and feminine scent perfect for a trip to the farmer's market or a day spent shopping with friends. I personally have enjoyed the soft and sweet fragrance myself.

If you have any questions about Whiff, feel free to comment. So far I have enjoyed my experience with Whiff and haven't had any issues. Their customer service team has been amazing when I have reached out to them in the past.

Thanks for visiting the blog today. Have a great day.

Send Cards with Ease with Paperless Post

The nice people over at Paperless Posts gave us some coins to use and to check out their digital cards and invitations on their site to review.

As a full-time working mom, I often find it challenging to find the time to sit down and order cards or invitations for birthday celebrations. Personalizing each address takes forever and let me be real—my hand always aches afterward. Paying for the postal fee also stresses me out, especially if I miss calculated the number of cards being sent out and I ended up with not enough stamps. This always happens to me around the holidays. It's quite annoying.

When Paperless Post reached out to me about a collaboration I couldn’t resist. Paperless Post is a site that allows you to create and electronically send customizable cards, invitations, save-the-dates, and flyers with the click of a button. The cards are colorful and beautiful with cleverly written covers that look like real cards and envelopes when you open them virtually. I think it’s so cool how real these cards look on the screen.

There is a wide variety of categories to choose from: birthdays, holidays, wedding, entertaining, bridal and baby showers, thank you notes, cocktail parties, etc. They have something for everyone. Cards range from free to currency in the form of coins. You can purchase coins on the website or the Paperless Post app which will be applied to your account. For example, you spend $9.99 and get 25 coins to use to create your customizable cards and invitations to send.

I ended up creating a thank you card in the app for my mother and father-in-law. My oldest son spent the night a couple weekends ago and I wanted to send them a card. I found a design that I liked, wrote a quick note, and sent it via email from the Paperless Post app. It took me less than 5 minutes to create and send a beautiful card and it cost a total of 4 coins to send.

Navigating the app is easy. You choose between the flyer or card option and select from the category you are wanting to send it for. You can edit the text and change the background color. You can even add an envelope and/or liner which is optional for all recipients. Add the event details such as the date, time, and location (if it's for a party) and enable the guest list icon for RSVPs. You can even enable to comment wall, have guests answer questions about to the event such as RSVP questions, additional instructions like directions to the event place, host phone number, and request the mailing address of guests.

My daughter's birthday is in September and we have liked all the adorable mermaid cards for her party. Her theme will be mermaid themed and we will be sending our party invitations electronically thanks to Paperless Post. I'll have more time to plan the event now that I don't have to sit down and address every single envelope. I hope you'll give Paperless Post a try. So far I have sent two cards out and the recipients have enjoyed the card that they received in their emails.

Until next time friends.

Story Box Review: April

Contains affiliate links.

We have been subscribed to The Story Box for a few months now and so far our family has been very pleased thus far. I started researching various children’s subscription book boxes back in November (as a Christmas gift idea) to see what one would be best for our family and for our budget.

My middle child, Talan, has a severe speech delay and struggles with some cognitive development skills. We have seen vast improvement this year with his speech now that he has started kindergarten and has gotten speech lessons at school. I decided on the Story Box because it was created by a speech pathologist. Every month there's a new challenge to accomplish with the materials and so far my children have responded well to those challenges.

Mommies Are Amazing
By Meredith Costain

This book is such a sweet book. Mommy cats and their kittens take a leading role as mother's of all kinds are celebrated in this tale. The focal point is on the beautiful bond between mother and child. The cadence is gentle and rhythmic and is easy for babies or toddlers to follow along.

My daughter is obsessed with cats; she very happy to see a book in the box with her favorite animal. This book would be a great addition to any at home library.

When You're Feeling Sick
By Cole Bowles (Guitarist from Grammy Award Winning Zac Brown Band)

This book was very fitting this month since all three of our kids had horrific colds and allergies. It's a picture book that had my kids laughing-out-loud with its hilarious pictures and encouraging; although super-silly rhythming advice about the do's and don'ts of what to do when you're sick. It focuses on how to deal with a sick day in a positive way. It also comes with a sheet of stickers to brighten a sick kid's day.

If you are looking for an educational box for your kids, I highly recommend that you join The Story Box. Use code TAKESIX to get $6 OFF YOUR ORDER

Thanks for visiting. Until next time my friends.

The Silk18 contains eighteen different amino acids which help fortify hair follicles and strengthen strands for healthier hair and scalp. It helps protect your hair from damage, breakage, split ends, and hair fall-out which I am often victim off. The Silk18 shampoo has a therapeuticness every time you wash your hair. I cannot even tell you how amazing this shampoo smells. The scent smells deliciousness like sweet vanilla and almonds. Our entire family is loving this shampoo for our daily hair care needs.
