Mommy Style: B&W Stripes and Pumpkin Cardigan

With fall just around the corner, I am getting eager to bust out some of my favorite cardigans and booties that I can pair with some of my summer staples like this off the shoulder top I am wearing. I have had this top since April and sadly it just sat in my closet and was often overlooked by me. Honestly, it's one of those tops that whenever I put it one I feel insecure about how my arms and shoulders look while wearing it. I was hoping to loose more weight before summer ended but I felt like I was running out of time to wear it so I gathered up all my courage and wore it to work underneath my favorite pumpkin cardigan.

I paired it with a pair of black jeans and my favorite mules I found from Rue21. I love the bow details and these shoes are super comfortable. I wore them one day while window shopping with a few of my mentee's and my feet didn't hurt at all. These shoes are perfect for those warm autumn days when it's still too warm to wear booties and opened toed shoes are still acceptable to wear.

The off the shoulder top I found at Ross. It was one of those blouses where I saw it, liked it, put it back, and came back ten minutes later cause I couldn't stop picturing various outfits in my head that I could wear it with. It's such a pretty top and the material is flowy and the fabric keeps you pretty cool during those warmer summer days. I also am obsessed with stripes. I have way too many stripped tops in my wardrobe but didn't have any vertical stripes. What I like about it is that it makes my mom belly look a little slimmer instead of wider and the stripes are pretty thin. I see myself wearing this blouse a couple times in September and throwing a cardigan over it when I'm at the office and wearing it without one when I get coffee with my sisters or brunch with friends.

The tassel earrings are a favorite accessory of mine. I wear them at least three times a week. I found these at Wal-Mart of all places for $4.00! They had other colors too.

What summer transitional pieces are you most excited to wear with some of your fall staples? I would love to hear your comments. Thanks for stopping bye and have a lovely day friends.

P.S. Sorry for the weird camera angles. I was teaching my mentee how to take photos but she forgot that you need to turn the camera for full length photos. Next time.
