The weather is finally starting to feel like summer now that it's the end of May. The temperatures have been in the high 80's here and I am personally loving it right now. But warmer temperatures call for less attire and new fashion trends to try.

I don't know about you, but my confidence has hit a low and I get a lot of anxiety when it comes to summer fashion. I'm the heaviest that I have ever been and showing off my body makes me incredibly uncomfortable. I am pushing through my personal insecurities though. I am doing this by building up my confidence by making a commitment to eating better and workout more and encouraging myself to try new things.

Dia & Co reached out to me and asked me to participate in their “Try-Day Friday” where you challenge yourself to try a new fashion trend every Friday. “Try-Day Friday” is about stepping out of your comfort zone and trying something new. So today I am stepping out of my box and trying trends that I have been avoiding for years! White jeans and the color yellow.

I have always been afraid of wearing white pants. Only because I have a tendency to spill things on myself. I can’t keep white clean no matter how hard I try. So I finally caved and decided to purchase them.

I also never wear the color yellow. It just never was appealing to me until I saw this inexpensive camisole in a cannery yellow hue. I tried it on and actually liked how it looked on me and how flattering the color was against my skin. So I took the plunge and bought it! And I am so happy that I did.

So, every Friday I want to encourage you and hopefully inspire you to participate in “Try-Day Friday” with Dia & Co and myself to challenge yourself to try a new fashion trend. And while you're at it why not check out Dia & Co! For a $20 styling fee Dia & Co will send you a box of hand-picked pieces by a stylist and deliver it right to your door. Your box will be tailored to your body, style, and budget. You keep what you love and send the rest of the items back.

I would love to hear what some of your favorite summer fashion trends are and what you arelooking most forward to trying out this season! Thanks for stopping bye, have a wonderful day!

What to Wear to a Summer Wedding as a Guest

Hello ladies! Spring is here which means that summer is here in a few short weeks. And with summer coming it means sunshine, heat, sipping on rose, and trying to even out them tan lines while you received multiple wedding invitations in the mail. Not only am I bridesmaid in my little sister's wedding this summer but I have received multiple wedding invites from close friends and family members. August is going to be a crazy month and I have no idea what I am going to wear!

As a wedding guest, finding the perfect dress to wear is an incredibly daunting task and I often get overwhelmed when I go shopping. For me, re-wearing the same dress to back-to-back weddings is a huge no-no, especially with so many photo opts and selfies due to the wonderful world of Instagram. Just remember a few golden rules when you go looking to purchase your dress:

- DO NOT WEAR WHITE! Obviously, it’s a no go. The only person who should be wearing white is the bride.

-  Funky colors like neons or wild print patterns. Go with a simple color that flatters your skin tone or a simple print that won’t make you stand out more than you’d like too.  You can also try a dress with ruffles or lace for a soft and feminine look.

- It’s better to be overdressed than under dressed. When in doubt dress to the nines!

- What is the wedding theme? Black tie affair, formal, beach themed, semi-formal, or casual? Once you know the theme of the wedding it will make it easier to shop for a dress.

What's On My Mother's Day Gift Guide: 2017

Mother's Day Gift Guide: 2017

Happy Hump Day!

Mother's Day is in a few short days. Here is what is on my list this Mother's Day.

1. SHOES. How cute are these Revolve shoes though? I'm loving the taco's on them.

2. PERFUME. I love Arianna Grande's line but any bottle of perfume will do.

3. THROW BLANKET. I love to snuggle up in a warm blanket in the morning or late at night when the kids are in bed.

4. THROW PILLOWS. I love pillows, and this one is just funny to me.

5. TEA TOWELS. Lately I have been loving fun prints on my tea towels at home. These ones are just so sweet and pink.

5. JEWELRY. Some of my most cherished pieces are gifts from my kids. I hold them near and dear to my heart.

6. CANDLES. I'm obsessed with this pineapple candle. Did you know that pineapples are a symbol of welcome?

7. EARRINGS. I am a huge fan of earrings and these cactus earrings are just super cute!

8. JEWELRY DISH. All mom's need a cute dish to display their jewels.
