What's Going on with Mr T - Winter 2015

Talan is hilarious. I wish I could sum him up in one word but it wouldn't do his personality any justice. Little dude is one vibrant spirit with lots of sweetness and a dash of attitude thrown into the mix. He is funny and he knows it even though his language development is four months delayed it doesn't stop him from doing silly things. Here are a few of his Talanisms:

- He is obsessed with his boots. He wants to wear them all day, every day even though they are two sizes too big. He rocks those boots like a champ and throws a fit when we suggest he wears his sneaks.

- He loves Thomas the Train. We watch a lot of Thomas in our crib.

- He has learned some new words: table, chair, nose, eyes, mouth, butt, hair, head, boots, milk, juice, T.V., Gru, and many other words.

- Talan is a FLIRT! He flirts with any pretty girl he sees. He has no shame! He gets this big goofy grin on his face and bats his thick little lashes like a pro. He would make Uncle Shawn proud.

- He is my human garbage disposal. Kid empties my pantry like no bodies business.

- He also has started learning to use the potty. He has a tendency to take his dirty diapers off or even dig when he has gone pooh and it is not fun!

- He goes to school two days out of the week and loves it. I'm just happy he is socializing and making friends. He is Mr Popular in his class.

- His jam is "Uptown Funk." Kid goes crazy when he hears the song.

- He enjoys books. We read a lot to help increase his vocabulary. He even likes reading Aurora's princess books.

- T loves to clean and I love that about him! He helps put away baskets of clothes and picked up all the toys. He is going to make a great husband one day.

- His interactions with his sister are precious. He adores her and she him. He likes to lay on her and they both crack up laughing when she gives him slobbery kisses!

- We did learn that he is allergic to pineapple. No pineapple chunks or juice for him. He throws up and breaks out in hives.

- Talan has learned to climb. He climbs on the coffee table, the dinning room table, the end tables, the sofa, the stoles, and now big brother's top bunk. He tries to fly like Superman. He hasn't gotten the memo that toddlers can't fly... He is a thrill seeker and it scare me.

- He is fascinated by the construction site behind our house. He stares and watches them like a hawk as they break ground and start building new houses. Maybe he will be a construction worker someday.

- He loves to build with Lego's, Lincoln Logs, and blocks. He finds it funny to be destructive and knock it all down once he is done building.

That is all I can think about for now. I will add whatever I missed this time around in a few weeks.
