Adventures at Jurassic Quest

This past weekend we checked out Jurassic Quest with the boys. It was our family adventure for the week and in all honesty I think Trevor and I were more excited about seeing all the mechanical dinosaurs than Amari. We ended up dropping sixty bucks to get in and that did not include older kid bounce houses, face painting, fossil digging, decorating a dinosaur egg, or riding a mechanical dinosaur. They wanted extra dinero for that. We were not too pleased with the false advertising on their end but we still had a grand ol' time. We just avoided paying extra cash to do non-academic things.

Amari was terrified of the life-size dinosaurs at first. He didn't fully understand that they were not "alive" and that the sounds were coming from a stereo system. It took him a while to understand that they were not going to eat him. Talan was indifferent, like always; he did enjoy rawring like a dinosaur though. He even got to ride a little one. Both of my babies had a blast in their own little ways and I am happy to say that I am enjoying learning about dinosaurs these days. I have a feeling that Dino's will be taking our house over. Move over superheroes, the Dino's are moving in!

We're Pregnant, again!

Yes that's right. The Durant's are expecting baby number three! We found a few weeks ago but decided to keep it hush-hush until we found a creative way to tell our family and friends. We are very excited about having our family grow. I was even more excited when we had our ultrasound and there was only one, not two little beans growing in my womb. Three is a good number. A very good number. Twins do run on my side of the family. Maybe one of my siblings will be the lucky ones to get a set a twins. ;)
Baby Durant is due at the end of September. September 26th give or take a few days since we will be having another scheduled c-section. This will be our last pregnancy and I am hoping for a little girl. I need frilly things, pink, and tutu's in my life. We get to find out the gender in 4-6 weeks. Hurry up September! I am getting eager to meet this little prince or princess.

Amari Turns Four!

My sweet first born turned four on February 27th. I can't believe that I have a four year old, F-O-U-R! I swear I blinked and my baby turned into a preschooler over night. He is growing into a handsome little man with an attitude. I fear the day when he starts getting interested in the opposite sex. The other day he told me that Cinderella was sexy. Yikes, it's going to be any day now.

With birthdays, it usually means superheros and a theme. This year, the Hulk was huge in our casa. You can find him literally everywhere in our house. Amari made it know for months that he wanted a Hulk party for his party. I looked for Hulk stuff for weeks on Etsy and in the stores. I'm not a party planner but man, finding Hulk by himself was a chore!  I am very happy with how Amari's party turned out. He loved it. He loved his custom cake and his amazing Hulk cookies! Happy 4th birthday Amari!
