What's New with A.J. - The Month of June

It's amazing how in the last 12 months so much has changed with Amari. For fun, I went back and read last June's What's New with A.J. One goal that I had for him was that he would know at least 20-25 words bye the time he turned 2. I am happy to announce that he has. How many words he knows, I have no idea. Stinker is one talkative cookie and he is one feisty little man. Sometimes I don't know what to do with myself when he says some of the things that he says to me. He is one of the most hilarious little boys that I have ever known and he has the sweetest little smile. He is so happy that he is going to be a big brother in 4 short months. :]

- Amari is so funny. When he doesn't want something or doesn't want to do something that you ask him to do he will literally stare you down and say rather defiantly, "Mmm, mmm. I don't want it!" The first time he ever said this to me I had to take a moment to register what he had just said. He literally caught me off guard!

- "Baseball time," is his favorite saying to yell out when Daddy takes him out to play ball in the yard or an MLB game is on ESPN. He loves baseball! Kind of scary at times...

- He is geeked that he is going to be a big brother. =]

- He is learning to fold clothes (even though I have to re-fold them after he is done).

- He is scared of fireworks! =/ But he loves watching them on T.V.

- Bugs still scare the hell out of him, LOL.

- He gets extremely excited when he sees an airplane in the sky.

- Whenever we cross the 205 bridge to go to Portland he will yell out excitedly, "Fishy's! See fishy's Mommy? See fishy's Daddy?" I think we are going to have to get him his first pet fish in the near future.

- He has become a picky eater (which makes me want to cry). He either wants yogurt, apple sauce, waffles, French toast, apples, bananas, cheese, salad, and French fries. Anything else, he won't eat or you'll hear, "Mmm, mmm. Don't want it!" He used to be the best of eaters when he was younger.

- Amari has learned to roll down the car window and likes to drop his socks and watch them fly away...and then he cries, LOL.

- Everything is apparently his. The word mine has entered his vocabulary.
"My play place!"
"My park!"
"My house!"

- He loves to snuggle Mommy and kiss my belly. He still thinks that he has a baby growing in his belly too. So sweet. :]

- He is now wearing size 8 toddler shoes.

- He loves dinosaurs and toy cars.

- He also has learned how to say his full name, which sounds like Mar-i Jaams Doorant, LOL. =P

And pretty much that is what's new with A.J. this month!
