What's New with A.J. - The Month of March

I've been kind of slacking the past two months with my "What's New with A.J." updates. It doesn't help that most of February we were computer-less. =/ A lot has happened with stinker over the past two months development wise. He is such a joy to watch. I'm probably going to miss a few things but alas, I am only human. Baby boy is constantly changing and learning new things every day.

- Amari loves to stand with his face 10 inches from the T.V. whenever Sesame Street is on. We try to pull him away or let him sit on his new chair but he prefers to be as close to Elmo, Cookie Monster, and Ernie as possible.

- He knows two songs (or should I say a few key words for the two songs that he knows?), Old McDonald and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. If you ask him to sing for you he will clear his little throat and yell rather loudly, "E I E I O" or "Twinkle, Twinkle, Twinkle!" =]

- He is learning how to count from 1 to 10. He seems to favor the numbers 2 and 3 at the moment. For the longest time, when we would ask him how old he was going to be; he would proudly respond, "Three."

- He also is learning his colors. So far he knows pink, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple.

- He talks nonstop... Baby boy is defiantly his father's son. He also whines a lot too. =/

- Amari loves, loves, loves shoes like his mama! =) One of his favorite things to do in the morning as he is getting dressed for school is to pick out his shoes for the day.

- Sadly, he has learned how to say, "Go!" I know, the word go is not a bad word per say; however, when a two-year-old pushes you away and screams it at you to go away it becomes a no-no word.

- He loves to read and is staring to treat his books nice. Of course, Mommy and Daddy are constantly reminding him to be nice to his books.

- Cars and playing ball are his two favorite games to play.

- He loves it when Daddy makes Cookie Monster or Elmo talk to him before bed. :) It makes Amari happy and leaves me giggling from the other room. It is quiet darling.

- Amari loves to give hugs and kisses on his terms. He is my little cuddle bug when he wants to be.

- He gets excited when it's time to go to school. He chums around with three boys in his wabbler class and often refers to his friends at school as babies.

- He now knows when he has dropped a deuce in his draws and is beginning to tell Mommy and Daddy. Looks like we will be getting him a big boy potty within a few short weeks!

- He likes to be a big help. If you ask him to cleanup his toys or put something in his room he will happily do it. He is a great helper!

And pretty much that is what's new with A.J. for the past few months. If I forgot anything, I'll put it in April's.
