Lents Park Love

We got our family photos from Diana at Diana Sell Photography! I must say, they turned out great! Diana does such a fabulous job and no one needs to know that it had been raining outside the day we decided to do our photos at Lents Park in Portland. We choose to do our shoot at Lents for a few sentimental reasons. 1.) We grew up in that park playing on the play ground and playing ball on the outdoor court, and 2.) Lents reminds us of Neil and of home. Note: For those of you who do not know who Neil was, he was our guardian who passed away last July from cancer. Here are a few of my favorite photos from the shoot.

15 Month Wellness

Yesterday was Amari's 15 month wellness check-up. It went very well. Amari is healthy and on good track according to his doctor. He is the 90th percentile for his length. Stinker is 33 inches tall! No wonder he can reach things from off the kitchen table and counter tops. For weight, he is in the high 60th percentile weighing in at 26 pounds. He is tall and lean baby with big feet! His head circumference is 18.9 inches, which puts him in the 70th percentile. He also ended up getting his DTap (Diphtheria Tetanus & Pertussis) vaccine. He cried for about 30 seconds before happily running out of the room and into the hallway because he knew that we were going home. He is not a fan of the doctor's office. =]

 Cutie pie.
 He kept kicking his feet.
He liked the sound of the crinkly paper.
Waiting with Daddy in the room.
 Running down the hallway.
He did this for twenty minutes while we waited for Dr. Larson.
 Happy, happy baby.
 Patiently waiting...
Oh, happy feet time!

Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue

Oh wedding traditions... I never thought that I would be a bride that actually caved into the "Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue" saying. To be honest, I wasn't going to even do it but Betsy kept asking me what my something blue was and when I told her I didn't have anything she went and found me something. Here are my items to fulfil the lovely British rhythm that dates back to the Victorian era.

My Something Old, Something Borrowed, and Something Blue will be a white handkerchief with blue flowers that belonged to her Grandmother Dorthy.

My Something New will be my dress, shoes, jewelry, and bridal purse that Mrs. Tilson made for me. The lace applique matches the back of my dress. It's lovely. =]

And walla! I cannot wait tell Saturday! =D
Three days tell the wedding! Holy crap, time has flown bye super duper quickly. Today my soon-to-be mother in law Betsy and soon-to-be sister in law's Kayleen and Janessa went to lunch at a teriyaki restaurant to celebrate Nessa's last day at Cornerstone Christian School. I was also given my something borrowed/something blue gift which was a white handkerchief with blue flowers on it and my something new which is a bridal purse made from the same lace applique from my dress by Mrs. Tilson. I'll post pictures of them tomorrow. =]

After lunch, we headed to the Lacey Nail Salon to get our manicures and pedicures done. I was due for a pedicure and it was nice relaxing for an hour, getting my feet tended to, and flipping through the latest In-Style magazine. It took me a while to decide if I wanted a mani or acrylic nails done. I decided on acrylic and they are sparkly! You will learn quickly that I love all things glittery and/or sparkly. I keep staring at my nails. They are so fun! Two hours later, nails done and brows waxed we all left the salon and headed home for the evening.

Tomorrow I'm in search of a garter for the garter toss and Bridget, Pam, and my good friend Jen will be making cake pops for our wedding favors! Fun times. We have 300 to make! Wish us luck.

 Mmm, blueberries.
